Asli Ozdemir is a Turkish fashion designer, textile engineer, and the founder of SALIENT. Her creative perspective has been shaped by technical textile knowledge, international sales experience, and fashion design education in New York.

Before entering fashion design, Asli spent several years working within the textile industry, gaining experience across production, product development, international sales, and marketing. Far from being separate from her creative path, these years became the foundation of it. They gave her a deeper understanding of material, product, market, and the many layers required to build a fashion brand with intention.

Fashion design, had always been more than a professional direction for Asli; it was a childhood dream. Over time, her experience in the textile industry gave that dream structure, knowledge, and perspective. What began as an instinctive desire to create gradually evolved into a clear vision for building a world of her own.

Her move to New York marked the moment when that vision became tangible. Through her studies in Fashion Design, Asli began transforming her technical and commercial foundation into a more personal creative direction—one that allowed her to turn years of industry knowledge into the visual identity and design language that would eventually shape SALIENT.
